What goes around comes around

Once upon a time, there lived a woodcutter in a village. He used to cut wood for his household. He lived with his father, son, daughter, and wife. When his children were young, her income was very good and his household was very well maintained. His father was an elderly man. He was happily living his life there but suddenly a very sad incident happened. His wife died. It was a big shock for him and his children too. Now he had to look after the work both at home and forest. He could not pay much attention to his business. Because at home he had to serve both his father and children. He was confused.

What goes around comes around

After some time, he got married again, who turned out to be cruel and selfish. She did not care about his children and father at all. She would not give them anything to eat and would fight all the time. As the days passed by but the condition of the woodcutter’s house started to deteriorate. The woodcutter’s wife did not support him at all. His wife wanted to get rid of his father and his children.

One day the woodcutter’s wife had an evil idea and asked the woodcutter to leave his father in the deep forest. At first, he refused to do so, but he was also tired of the daily fights. The woodcutter agreed with his wife. The conversation between the woodcutter and his wife was overheard by his father. He was very disappointed to hear this.

One day he asked his father to get ready; today we are going for a walk in the forest. He realized and followed him quietly. After going a little further, his father complained of being tired. But he still took him to the thick forest. Then they went to the place and sat down. The woodcutter said to his father you are sitting here; I will come in a little while. His father knew that he had come to leave him here forever. He called his son from behind and said,” Son, don’t leave me here because some time ago, I also left my father here, don’t let your son leave you like this tomorrow. The woodcutter thought for a moment and looked back to his father. He was very embarrassed. He turned it around and took his father back home.

Why Hard work is Always Better than Begging

Hard work is the key to success. nothing in this world is impossible for a person who targets to achieve with commitment and hard work. If we give a fried fish to a person without any of his efforts, then he will become habitual of doing nothing and aging the benefit without hard work, but if we teach him how to catch a fish, and use it as his food, then he will be more benefitted and will never try to beg in front of anyone. We can justify this statement by the following story. There was a school in a village, where children of mostly poor communities were getting their education. No uniform code was there in this school and students used to come in any of their available dresses. Education standards were reasonable but the teachers of this school were very much committed to their job in grooming their students, especially with respect to general ethics. The poor people were earning their livings hardly but were committed to educating the next generation for a better future. One ...

Why Human is Ignorant of Basic Ethics

Humans are living creatures that are not only made of flesh and blood but have some feelings and thoughts, and are to follow certain rules and ethics. But they are running behind wealth, and fame and exhibit a materialistic approach, violating the basics, for which they are in this world. Loyalty is one of these basic values which humans are to adopt. If humans look at the loyalty and sincerity of an animal, like a dog, they will get ashamed of themselves. Such an example is given in the following paragraphs. Once upon there was a family of Bedouin, who were having a herd of sheep. This family used to travel far away in search of food for their sheep, keeping in view the weather changes. During winter this family always preferred to move to the plain and in summer towards the hilly areas. This family had a dog of a good breed which always moved with the herd of sheep for security purposes. This dog had a special affiliation with the Bedouin family and the sheep. It was winter season ...

Why Happiness is Considered the State of Mind

Happiness and satisfaction are the state of mind. It can never be assumed that a person is happy due to too much money or having plenty of facilities. We can never say that a person is happy after being well settled. Rather we generally see poor people more satisfied than the rich. Then what is the thing for the poor to retain him happy, this is inner satisfaction. In other words we can say, the state of mind which makes him happy and contented. We take an example of such condition. Ashfaq Ahmad, who was a very known writer of Pakistan says that he has served for several years in Radio Pakistan and got posted at various locations. He also remained posted at Gilgit Radio Station. It was a small office but in a beautiful place. There a person named Ghulab, who was a low paid employee at Gilgit Radio Station and was doing duty as a office boy. Ghulab always remained unhappy and worried by his appearance. We never saw him happy and contented. We thought him unhappy because of his financial...
