Why a Person is Slave of his Thoughts

Allah has bestowed every human being with unlimited capabilities about which he himself doesn’t know. If a person limits himself to particular boundaries by thinking that he is unable to do more, then he will be doing injustice not only to himself and also to the people of his surroundings, who would have benefited from his capabilities. We can take the example of elephants in this respect.

Why a Person is Slave of his Thoughts
Once upon a time, an old man along with a young boy was walking around in a village. This was a very fine evening with pleasant weather. While they were crossing in front of a farmer’s house, they saw two elephants tied with thin chains to small pegs. The young boy was very much surprised to see gigantic elephants tied with such weak chains and pegs. He assumed these things to be so feeble to handle such huge elephants.

He put his query in front of the old man that why these giant elephants not getting themselves free by putting little jerk. The old man got the young boy’s point and told him the reality of what he was seeing. The old man said, “When these elephants were born, both were very weak. The farmer tied them with such little pegs by using thin chains. Each of the elephants tried his best to break both of these i.e. chain and peg, to get him free, but he failed to do so. The reason was that at that time the elephants were weaker than the things with which they were tied. The elephants got tired of doing the effort and at last, they accepted in their mind that these chains and pegs are stronger than them. With the passage of time, the elephants grew up but the chains and pegs remained of the same size. Now you can see such massive elephants tied in such conditions, which made you surprised. Actually, the elephants have become slaves of their thought and have considered these chains and pegs dominant on them in their childhood and now they are not even trying to break these to get them free".

The Same is the condition with a person who becomes a slave of his thoughts and doesn’t try to break the chain to get him free of such thoughts. A person can do anything he wants if he considers himself capable of doing that. If he starts a task with an overwhelmed approach of failure then he will be failed to accomplish that task.

Why Happiness is Considered the State of Mind

Happiness and satisfaction are the state of mind. It can never be assumed that a person is happy due to too much money or having plenty of facilities. We can never say that a person is happy after being well settled. Rather we generally see poor people more satisfied than the rich. Then what is the thing for the poor to retain him happy, this is inner satisfaction. In other words we can say, the state of mind which makes him happy and contented. We take an example of such condition. Ashfaq Ahmad, who was a very known writer of Pakistan says that he has served for several years in Radio Pakistan and got posted at various locations. He also remained posted at Gilgit Radio Station. It was a small office but in a beautiful place. There a person named Ghulab, who was a low paid employee at Gilgit Radio Station and was doing duty as a office boy. Ghulab always remained unhappy and worried by his appearance. We never saw him happy and contented. We thought him unhappy because of his financial

Why human is self-centered

It is mentioned once that there were three friends who were very fond of each other. People used to give examples of their friendship. All three friends grew up together studied in the same school and now used to do business together. They were very close friends. Their business was going very well. They were very hard working. But one day it happened and they started losing business. Their night sleep is forbidden. He tried hard to manage the business but gradually, the business came to a standstill. Now the three of them were very worried and they were getting poorer day by day. They were unemployed and had no work to do. They thought they should go to the city and do business there. They packed their things and left for the city. Even on the way, there was a forest. The sun was setting and it was going to be night. The three of them thought why not stay here tonight. They put on their own beds and sat down. They were still sitting when after a while he saw a shining object. As

Why Hard Work along with Genius is Key to Success

It is said that “Hard work without genius is more than genius without hard work”. Only genius will be useless if there is no hard work as hard work is always key to success in any task.  But if genius combines with hard work, then it will be matchless. There will be nothing to beat that person. We can take a well-known story for this There was a crow who was very thirsty, he couldn’t find water anywhere. He wandered around in search of water, but he could not find it. He was tired and sat on the wall of a house. He saw a pitcher placed in the house. The crow flew and sat at the edge of the pitcher.  He was very happy as there was water in the pitcher, but unfortunately, the water level was very low and the crow was unable to reach it to drink it. The crow tried its level best but all in vain. At last, the crow used its intelligence and got a solution to raise the water level for its easy access to drink. The crow saw some pebbles near that pitcher and started picking these pebble
