There is greatness in hard work

Once upon a time, in the past, a king used to rule a country. He was very keen to get the gold. The inhabitants of the country were very lazy and careless.  Their occupation was farming. They used to do nothing but dig the ground hoping for gold all day long. Now those people were very worried because the ruler of the time wanted wealth and because of not getting wealth he also oppressed them a lot. These people thought a lot but could not see any solution.

One of them, who is very genius and hard working wants to help the people. He thought of an idea. He went to the king and said to him that he had seven sacks of gold but the problem is here that some time ago, he had buried these sacks in some ground. Now he had forgotten where they were. He told the king that it would take a long time to fetch the gold for which he needed many men, horses, and bullocks. First we have to dig the ground and find out where that gold is and all this work can take up to a year. The man said, “if you allow these men to stay with me for a year, in that time we will be able to get the gold. The king had no choice but to obey them. He sent many men with horses and bullocks. But the king also made a condition that if he failed to do so, he would be beheaded. The young man nodded yes. He took the people with him and set off on his journey.

First of all, the young man ordered the people to dig. Then plowing was done with oxen. Manure will be added to the soil to fertilize it. When the land was ready, wheat seeds were sown in it. After a year, when the crop is ready, he harvests it. Thus he obtained a large quantity of wheat. The young man loaded the wheat on the horses and started for the palace. While walking on the way, he reached the place where there was famine and the people there bought all the wheat. In return, the young man got seven sacks of gold, which he took to the king.

Seeing him, the king asked, did you bring all the gold. The young man smiled and replied Yes, I have got the gold by selling wheat. When his servants told the whole story to the king, he was very happy but sad too. After that, the king ordered his people to cultivate and within a few years, there was a period of prosperity in the country. The king thanked the young man.

There are still many people in the world who do not understand the greatness of hard work. The king understood that along with hard work, the way of working should also be correct.

Why Happiness is Considered the State of Mind

Happiness and satisfaction are the state of mind. It can never be assumed that a person is happy due to too much money or having plenty of facilities. We can never say that a person is happy after being well settled. Rather we generally see poor people more satisfied than the rich. Then what is the thing for the poor to retain him happy, this is inner satisfaction. In other words we can say, the state of mind which makes him happy and contented. We take an example of such condition. Ashfaq Ahmad, who was a very known writer of Pakistan says that he has served for several years in Radio Pakistan and got posted at various locations. He also remained posted at Gilgit Radio Station. It was a small office but in a beautiful place. There a person named Ghulab, who was a low paid employee at Gilgit Radio Station and was doing duty as a office boy. Ghulab always remained unhappy and worried by his appearance. We never saw him happy and contented. We thought him unhappy because of his financial

Why human is self-centered

It is mentioned once that there were three friends who were very fond of each other. People used to give examples of their friendship. All three friends grew up together studied in the same school and now used to do business together. They were very close friends. Their business was going very well. They were very hard working. But one day it happened and they started losing business. Their night sleep is forbidden. He tried hard to manage the business but gradually, the business came to a standstill. Now the three of them were very worried and they were getting poorer day by day. They were unemployed and had no work to do. They thought they should go to the city and do business there. They packed their things and left for the city. Even on the way, there was a forest. The sun was setting and it was going to be night. The three of them thought why not stay here tonight. They put on their own beds and sat down. They were still sitting when after a while he saw a shining object. As

Why Hard Work along with Genius is Key to Success

It is said that “Hard work without genius is more than genius without hard work”. Only genius will be useless if there is no hard work as hard work is always key to success in any task.  But if genius combines with hard work, then it will be matchless. There will be nothing to beat that person. We can take a well-known story for this There was a crow who was very thirsty, he couldn’t find water anywhere. He wandered around in search of water, but he could not find it. He was tired and sat on the wall of a house. He saw a pitcher placed in the house. The crow flew and sat at the edge of the pitcher.  He was very happy as there was water in the pitcher, but unfortunately, the water level was very low and the crow was unable to reach it to drink it. The crow tried its level best but all in vain. At last, the crow used its intelligence and got a solution to raise the water level for its easy access to drink. The crow saw some pebbles near that pitcher and started picking these pebble
