Why Self-Esteem and Satisfaction Need Nothing

There was a beautiful village away from the city. The villagers were very simple, poor but sweet-hearted. They used to live within their resources and always remained thankful to Allah Almighty. They never made complaints to anyone about their poverty. Due to their behavior, they remained happy and self-satisfied.

Why Self-Esteem and Satisfaction Need Nothing

There was a very poor person named Sher, who had with him, only his wife. The couple had no kid; even then they always remained happy and thankful to their Allah Almighty. People around them were very surprised by their satisfaction. Sher was a simple but very jolly person and was a source of amusement for his villagers.   Sher was also low paid employee at an office in the city. He was not having a bicycle and due to his poverty, he couldn’t afford to visit his house except on weekends. There was one person named Fateh in his office that was also from the same village. That person was having a bicycle to commute on daily basis. The same person was Sher’s supervisor.

Fateh was an open-minded person and always facilitated Falak to send anything through him, to his wife. Sher had a cloth bag, which he used to hand over to Fateh at frequent intervals, to give it to his wife, similarly, his wife used to return the same bag early morning to Fateh. There was always anything inside the bag with almost equal weight.

This activity continued for a long duration but the Fateh never opened the bag to see, what is inside nor did he ask Sher about the thing inside the bag. One day Fateh was about to leave for the village when Sher gave him the same bag. There was a friend of Fateh who opened the bag. To the surprise of Fateh, there was pair of shoes that Sher used to wear in his office. Now the supervisor called Sher and asked about the matter, why he used to send his shoes with frequent to his wife and the same was done by his wife. The poor and simple Sher replied, “We have only one pair of better shoes, which I wear in the office and whenever my wife wants to go to any function in the village, she asks me to bring the shoes, I wrap shoes in the bag and send these to my wife through you. So, I am sorry that I always did so without informing you”

Fateh and his friend were very surprised by self-respect of Sher, who never asked for any help from him to get extra shoes for his wife. Rather he maintained his self-esteem, respect and remained satisfied with his condition.

Why Hard work is Always Better than Begging

Hard work is the key to success. nothing in this world is impossible for a person who targets to achieve with commitment and hard work. If we give a fried fish to a person without any of his efforts, then he will become habitual of doing nothing and aging the benefit without hard work, but if we teach him how to catch a fish, and use it as his food, then he will be more benefitted and will never try to beg in front of anyone. We can justify this statement by the following story. There was a school in a village, where children of mostly poor communities were getting their education. No uniform code was there in this school and students used to come in any of their available dresses. Education standards were reasonable but the teachers of this school were very much committed to their job in grooming their students, especially with respect to general ethics. The poor people were earning their livings hardly but were committed to educating the next generation for a better future. One ...

Where There is a Will There is a Way

Where there is a will there is always a way. If anyone puts full commitment and effort to achieve any target, destiny will help him/her to get it. It is upon the person how dedicated he/she is to the achievement of his goal. Nothing in this world is impossible if the person engaged in its fulfillment shows true spirit and d edication. We can get an example of "Where there is will there is a way" which is mentioned in succeeding paragraphs.  There was a person who was a very good journalist and always worked with zeal and zest for his newspaper. He was so dedicated to his job that he always remained the backbone of his network. He had a wish to write a book of his own but he never got time for that. His commitment to his job was always appreciated by his seniors and the owner of his newspaper. One day when he woke up to go for his duty, he tried to get out of his bed but surprisingly he was unable to move. He became totally disabled and his whole body except his brain beca...

How Dress Speaks of One's Personality

Dress is having a great impact on the personality of a person and also decides how others will behave with him by getting an impression about him. People behave as if they get inspired by a person and his dressing plays the main role in this. One great example is as below. Shiekh Saadi was a great and well-known poet of Iran. He was very popular because of his poetry. One day he was going to the Court of King and on his way to the court, he had to stay in a house of a nobleman. He was simply dressed and was not recognized by the nobleman. The nobleman and his servant behaved with Shiekh Saadi in a very casual way, as they considered Saadi to be a poor man wearing a low-cost/ordinary dress. They didn’t show any kind of hospitality that Shiekh Saadi actually deserved Shiekh Saadi was very sad about their behavior. He went to the King’s Court. On his way back, Saadi had to again stay in the same house in which he previously stayed. Now, he wore elegant clothes. The nobleman and ...
